Sunset Grille enjoyed a contemporary makeover

The Sunset Grille Continues to serve the Best Food on the Planet, Complemented by Spectacular Views.

Palm Beach -- The award-winning Sunset Grille at the Hilton Aruba Caribbean Resort & Casino enjoyed a contemporary makeover in late 2016, which coincided with the arrival of its new chef, the recently recruited Lij  Heron. Aruba’s community of foodies loves and appreciates the Jamaican-born culinary wizard who made Aruba his home, and the kitchen of the Hilton Aruba Caribbean Resort & Casino the place where he practices his creativity and good taste.

The new décor at the Sunset Grille is themed around fine wine and focuses on genuine reclaimed wooden wine boxes of both rare and popular selections from wine-producing countries around the globe. The stylish wine boxes created by the wineries to store and protect their precious cargo all carry unique logos and careful notations where the wine was produced. Many of these logos are masterpieces of traditional design, endorsed by royalty and cherished as historical documents.

Dinner experience at the Sunset Grille is now greatly enhanced by the new color scheme and the elegant furnishings, capturing the imagination of visiting and local wine and food lovers. Moreover, the addition of a stunning deck, maximizes guests’ tree top view of Palm Beach, as they dine seated above the resort’s waterfalls, in a theater of perfect sunsets.

That deck, sets the Sunset Grille apart from its contemporaries, as excellent steaks are served in many of Aruba’s premier dining establishments, but the totally spectacular view at sunset, and as night falls with the moon hanging over rustling coconut trees, is a unique and enchanting feature, only offered by the Sunset Grille.

Chef Lij reports that his modern steakhouse menu complements the stylish interior, and the breathtaking vista.  “We buy the best food on the planet,” he states,” and prepare it just right, including premium seafood and superb steaks, in full view of the dining room in our exhibition kitchen.”

Among starters, the chef features many steakhouse classics such as Lobster Bisque, served under a golden pastry crust, classic steakhouse Shrimp Cocktail, and Cured Ahi Tuna paired with Fennel and Citrus salad. The Steakhouse Wedge is nestled under apple-wood smoked bacon with chunky Gorgonzola dressing and the Sunset Seafood Salad arrives at the table loaded with Jumbo Lump Crab, in addition to Shrimp, Avocado, Egg and Bacon, a starter which may also be ordered as a main course.

The Sunset Grille serves 100% Certified Angus Beef, fired on the charcoal grill with Filet Mignon, Prime Flank Steak, New York Strip, Rib Eye, Double Cut Lamb Chops and the legendary 32oz Porterhouse for two.  Patrons may mix and match crusts and sauces, and create their own Surf and Turf with any meat or seafood on the menu.

Pasta lovers may pick the Short Rib Gnocchi with wild mushrooms, the Penne Primavera, or the Linguini with Shrimp; a 3 course prix-fix option for $65 per person allows patrons to compose their own menu.

Among the made-from-scratch desserts, Chocolate Decadence Cake, Lava Cake , and New York Cheese Cake, worthy of trying them all.

A popular dining destination seven days a week, the Sunset Grille is open from 6-11pm, every night, with indoor and outdoor seating, on the deck overlooking Technicolor sunsets, tree tops and famed Palm Beach.
